digbies is a weekly pre-school development group run by psds, a charity whose principal goal is to provide support for children with down syndrome and their families. digbies stands for “developing individual growth by imaginative play, education and speech”. The weekly sessions (which take place on a Friday during school term dates and are divided in to a morning group and an afternoon group) are held at Lloyd Hall in Outwood. digbies is of great benefit not only to the children who take part but also parents who can experience first hand new ways to encourage and aid development in specific areas such as speech and language, early education and social interaction. For more information about digbies or to enquire about a place for your child please email committee@psds.info. After School Activities Children aged 4 and over can take part in our after school activities which include a weekly drama club and social events. These activities provide a stimulating and fun opportunity for children with down syndrome to socialise together. Our digbies drama group meets weekly on Wednesdays during school term dates from 4.15-5.15pm at The Parish Room, St Matthews Church, Station Road, Redhill, Surrey RH1 1DL. Click here |
